It is used in steel making and foundry industry as an alloying element to give a homogeneous fine-grained structure steel; improves hardenability and hardenability of steel, increases its viscosity, eliminate temper brittleness of chromium-nickel steel, it contributes to the preservation properties of steel at high temperatures; ferromolybdenum in iron supplement increases its durability and wear resistance.
