Germanium brand GM-0 is manufactured according to the standard GOST 16154−70, being a typical semimetal with a wide scope of application. The material has a good refractoriness (937 ° C), a changeable density (depending on the state), it can transmit infrared rays. In this case, germanium metal has an increased brittleness (cracks from mechanical impact), which does not allow its use for the production of structural parts.
